Error
- HHCTRL.OCX is missing
V4.5
and both parts of TNC use compiled HTML help (CHM help). This
is the native help system for Windows 98 and 2000, but it does
not work on Windows 95 or NT4 unless the user has Internet Explorer
4 or later. (MS Office 2000 also contains the necessary updates).
If IE4 or higher is not installed on Win95 or NT4 machine, an
error will occur when they try to use the TeleMagic help (the
error HHCTRL.OCX is missing would be one possibility, but there
may be others), and the help will not run.
There
is an update included on the CD in the UTILS\HTML\ folder (HHUPD.EXE).
This will update components of the HTML help engine, but is not
a substitute for installing IE4+. (HHUPD is in a constant state
of change and users should generally download it every so often
from Microsoft.) Users with Win 98 and 2000 should have no problems
running CHM help, but can still update CHM components with HHUPD
if they like .
