File
does not exist (c:\tm4\users\???\
maillocl.dbf)
When
a mailbox is created in TeleMagic Internet Mail, the user ID and
the location of the associated mailbox files is written to the
Windows Registry. When you log into TeleMagic Internet Mail, this
registry entry is checked to determine the location of your mailbox
files. If there is no registry entry, you will be prompted to
create a new mailbox in any directory you choose.
The
/CLEANREG=user_ID parameter removes the mailbox references from
the Registry.
If
you delete your mailbox files (e.g., to reinstall TeleMagic),
then attempt to log into TeleMagic Internet Mail, the error "File
does not exist (c:\tm4\users\???\maillocl.dbf)" will be generated
(where ??? is your user ID). Running TMMAIL.EXE with the /CLEANREG=user_ID
parameter will allow you to recreate the mailbox files. Be sure
to include the user's actual ID after the equal sign. To use this
parameter, click on Start, Run, and type in
F:\TM4\PROGRAMS\TMMAIL.EXE
/CLEANREG=???
"F:\
TM4" should be replaced with your global installation path and
replace ??? with your user id.
