DSS Central, Satellite & Remote - Error 3057: Variable could not be converted to a valid number

This error may occur when transferring files from an FTP site using TeleMagic's DSS Dial Up Server. The FTP site being used is either not set to UNIX-style directories, or there are files in the directory which do not use the 8.3 file name convention.

The solution is to change the FTP server directory type to UNIX format, and make sure all files located in the affected directories (even if they are not related to Data Synchronization) follow the 8.3 file name convention-no more than 8 characters plus an optional 3 character extension.
