DSS Central, Satellite - Synchronizing Only Database Structure

Some situations call for the ability to synchronize the database structure alone, without synchronizing data, filters, indexes, or list boxes. You can do this by using a filter that will never find any records.

1. Add a new filter called "No Records".
2. Click the Advanced button.
3. Enter the following in the Expression Builder:
.F.
(This is a period, followed by the letter F and another period.)

Whenever you need to send a structure change to a remote site, set Database Preferences to transfer Database Structure/Views, then synchronize using the "No Records" filter.
