Inability to link Internet Mail to Contact Records

In older versions of TeleMagic, the field used to identify databases (the database ID) contained some non-printable characters. This has been found to cause a problem with linking e-mail messages to contacts.

If you find that the Current Contact and Filter options in e-mail are dimmed in a particular database, you should not attempt to link to a record in that database. Instead, execute the rebuild program with the command line parameter of "/UPGRADE" (ex: C:\TM4\PROGRAMS\REBUILD.EXE /UPGRADE). This procedure will lauch the "ID Conversion" program and update the ID's as necessary. A complete backup of TeleMagic should be performed prior to executing the rebuild upgrade.

Note: Successfully converting the ID's in this fashion requires that TeleMagic be updated to version 4.5.
