Unique Numbers - Database Copy

When a database containing one or more unique number fields is copied, the references to the next available unique numbers for that database in the UNIQNUMS table are copied as well. This means that even if you make a copy of a database without contact records, unique number fields in records added to the new database will continue where the unique numbers left off in the original database at the time it was copied. To avoid this, use the Reset Unique Numbers feature (from the Contact Manager/Contact Utilities menu) in the new database immediately after making the copy.
