User List in Preferences are blank

Question: My user list in TeleMagic User Preferences is empty however, my users are able to login. How do retrieve the list of users?

Answer: If you try to change the System ID in an installation that is not being synchronized, and enter an ID that has been used before, a message will appear asking if you would like TeleMagic to generate a unique ID for you. If you click Yes, it will generate a unique ID, but that new ID is not written to the TM.INI or the USERS.DBF. This will result in the list of users in Users Preferences being blank.

Avoid having TeleMagic generate a unique System ID. If this has already been done, the workaround is to modify the previously mentioned TeleMagic files yourself. Assuming the new System ID is 123, edit the TM.INI and change the ID=??? in the [System Setup] section to read ID=123. Add the following line to the same section: GENID123=123

Edit the USERS.DBF table using Visual FoxPro version 6. Enter the following in the siteid field for each user: 123~

Note: In version 4.5 it is only necessary to update the TM.INI with the afore mentioned references for the ID and GENID in the [System Setup] section. It is not necessary to edit the Users table using Foxprow.
